The central section of the AMP houses a robust and safe lithium iron phosphate (LiFEPO4) battery along with the control center. A locking mechanical balancing suspension assembly ensures the AMP remains aligned under the wheelchair for optimal performance and stability. When released, this assembly allows for easy rolling off the AMP. When locked, specially designed wheel catches cradle the manual wheelchair drive wheels, securing it in place.
